Reporting an error in a conversion

These are the most useful messages we get, and a few details make them much faster to act on. Where you can, please include:

• The page you were on, for example the weight converter.
• The units you were converting between, and the value you entered.
• The result you got, and the result you expected.
• Your source for the expected figure, if you have one.

If a published factor turns out to be wrong we correct it and update the review date on that category page.

Suggesting a new converter or unit

Tell us the units and, if you can, what you needed it for. Knowing the real situation behind a request, whether a recipe, a machine spec, or a shipping form, usually tells us more about how the tool should behave than the unit names alone.

What to expect

We read everything that comes through the form. We aim to reply to genuine enquiries within a few working days, though we cannot promise a response to sales or link-building messages.
